Nkere Acro Community Organization was founded by Massembe Hassan Rice out of a deep passion to transform lives through the power of acrobatics and gymnastics. Having trained many groups across the country, he realized that most were focused on earning immediate income rather than developing long-term talent. This inspired him to create an organization devoted to identifying, nurturing, and empowering passionate young athletes who could one day represent Uganda at both national and international levels.

The organization was established within a community largely comprised of children raised by single parents. Having experienced similar challenges in his own upbringing, Massembe Hassan Rice was inspired to create a safe and supportive space where these children could build their skills, confidence, and self-esteem through acrobatics.

The Blueprint for Change: Our Guiding Strategy

Our Mission
Our Vision
Our Goal

Our mission is to establish and sustain a nurturing environment dedicated to the continuous development of passionate young talents in acrobatics. We achieve this by providing structured, high-quality training, consistent mentorship, and clear opportunities for personal and athletic growth. We are deeply committed to transforming lives, building lasting confidence, and breaking down socio-economic barriers by ensuring world-class gymnastics is wholly accessible to every child, regardless of their family's financial status or background.

To empower and inspire children from the most underprivileged communities across Uganda to fully realize their immense potential through the transformative discipline of acrobatics and gymnastics. Our long-term goal is to see our dedicated athletes rise to become proud representatives of Uganda, competing confidently and successfully on both local and international stages, acting as beacons of hope for youth nationwide.

The ultimate organizational goal of the Nkere Acro Community Organization extends far beyond athletic achievement. We strive to shape confident, disciplined, and responsible young individuals who are ready to step up and become ambassadors of hope and positive change within their own communities.

OUR PROGRAMS

The Path to Excellence: Our 6 Core Programs

This foundational program provides rigorous, continuous instruction in partner and group acrobatics. Athletes learn essential skills in balance, static holds, and pyramiding, which are crucial for developing the teamwork and discipline required at higher competitive levels.

Dedicated specifically to dynamic movement, this program focuses on mastering tumbling runs and floor gymnastics. It builds speed, power, and technical precision, enabling athletes to execute complex aerial skills like backflips, twists, and somersaults with confidence and control.

This is the professional arm of the organization, where advanced athletes develop polished, engaging routines for public performance and hire. It provides invaluable stage experience, boosts performer confidence, and creates sustainable opportunities for athletes to earn income and gain exposure.

Recognizing that performance is key, these workshops integrate music theory, rhythm training, and cultural dance forms. The goal is to enhance the artistry, expressiveness, and choreography of every athlete's routine, preparing them for highly judged competitions.

These sessions go beyond skill-specific training, focusing on the holistic physical well-being of the youth. Classes emphasize cardiovascular endurance, injury prevention, flexibility, and general strength conditioning, ensuring our athletes remain healthy and resilient throughout their careers.

This flagship initiative uses the collective power of arts and sport to mentor youth in critical life skills. It focuses on leadership training, conflict resolution, and creating ambassadors of positive change within their communities.
